We stay at Ocean Lakes every year the week of the 4th of July. And as it stands right now will be at OL the second week of July also.We have stayed there for 20 years or so and we love it.This is a busy time of year at OL but as I said we love it.OL really has everything you need to stay right there and not leave.Golf car rental or bring your own.We have never stayed at the Travel Park, but I know some on the forum have.It is a very nice cg and probably not as busy as OL.If you decide to stay at OL,you really should make a reservation soon.Let us know if you decide to stay there and we will look you up.

The willow tree in N. Myrtle is very nice.It is a little drive to the beach.Huntington beach state park is nice and you can walk to the beach. It all depends on if you want to be in the middle of town. These are on the outside of town.

we have stayed at Ocean Lakes, Pirateland and Lakewood. We prefer Pirateland. Ocean Lakes was is the biggest of the three and very busy. A little too busy for our taste. Lakewood is where we stayed last year and enjoyed it with no complaints. Lakewood's pool is oceanfront which makes it nice to go from the beach to the pool without moving your cart. With a five year old, we made many changes in venue per day :) Ocean Lakes pool is in the middle of the campground and Pirateland is in the rear of the campground. We really liked the pool being oceanfront. All three have nice stores inside the park. We have never had a bad experience in any of them. All that being said, we are going to Pirateland this year and will be there the week leading up to July 4. As someone stated above, it's time to get your reservations if its not too late. As of Friday, Pirateland still had sites.

Ocean Lakes if you want on the beach. If you are just going to Myrtle Beach for shows, etc, then you can't beat Willow Tree.

We like Huntington Beach State park......in fact we will be there this weekend! Near the ocean, not to crowded....they have a nice boardwalk nature trail with both fresh water and salt water "ecosystems". Myrtle Beach......us folks in Charlotte call it the "Redneck Riviera"

We stayed 2 weeks at Travel Park and loved it. We would have liked to stay longer, but when you got to work, you got to work. Have a great time.

Hi Walker10,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum. We have a great bunch of people here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge if needed. Your profile does not list what kind of unit your have, but hopefully it is a Heartland and if it is welcome to the family of owners also.

Check out the rallies in your area and join us in the Heartland Owners Club.

Enjoy the forum.

Have stayed at MBTP & Apache. Apache has 90* back ins, real tight on both sides...won't go back when MBTP is a mile away and has nice pull thru sites and the Lazy River. We've camped at MBTP the past 3 yrs in Oct. Would like to try out some CG's on the south side, but the folks we visit in Oct are at Cherry Grove so we stay at the closest one.

Exactly what boat said. If you need salt water, Ocean Lakes.

But our favorite is now Willow Tree. The whole family loves it and we're headed back this summer.
