How important is air circulation from the inside of the trailer to under the kitchen slide when the slide is out? We're going to be traveling with a cat, and I'm pretty sure that he will want to explore under there. I can easily block the ends, but what about where the toes go? Should I try to use foam to block that, or should I come up with some sort of screen?

David,
Sorry for the late answer.
I can't see any reason why there have to be an air circulation at all! The circulation for the fridge is outside and there are no appliances which need a circulation. So I would say you can close the gaps with foam without problem.

Thanks. One of the big RV dealers in Springfield has an open house going this week, with several manufacturer's reps present. I was able to talk to someone from Heartland, and they said the same thing. We have the foam home now, and probably will start cutting tomorrow.
