Wheel balance is the blame for shackle failure

I was doing bearing service and was going to check the brake's when I saw a shackle was almost wore to the point of failure. I added 2 large weights and 1 smaller one to get the tire in balance. I believe that the tire was bouncing down the road and thus wore the shackle out. I have 6000 mile on the Cyclone. I have ordered wet bolts from etrailer and shackle's and should be good to go... Have your tire's balanced.

I agree about having your trailer tires balanced. Have always had them balanced when I buy new tires.

I have friends that use them in their motorcycle tires and they seem to do a great job. One thing to consider on Dyna Beads though, if you are or going to use a TPMS, don't think the two will go togehter... JMO!

Instead of using Dynabeads that may or may not work..why not just use the conventional balancing method and have the option of being able to use a tpms available in the future...
