Ford Powerstrokes in Mexico

After a recent breakdown in Mexico I discovered that the Ford dealers here have no clue on how to diagnose and repair the Ford diesel. Although it seems the motor (Intl TE-444) is manufactured in Monterrey and many of the other parts are manufactured in Mexico, all is for export only. Unlikely you'll see a Ford diesel on the road here unless it is a gringo towing a trailer. If you're coming this way, I would suggest you keep a list of Intl dealers with you because that will be the best resource for motor diagnosis/repairs. Bring a camshaft positon sensor with you since it seems to be the most common failed part ($270 at the dealer and $120 at Intl in Guadalajara).
