Hello to All Heartland Owners Club members!!
We've got a rally planned @ Lake Raystown Resort in Pennsylvania June 23rd - 27th http://www.raystownresort.com/
I am one of the rally masters and I am sending this open invitation to all H.O.C. members . This rally is listed on the "Dog and Trailer" Forum http://www.dogandtrailer.com/index.php. My user name there is "Happy Camper". am sending this open invitation to all H.O.C. members. http://www.dogandtrailer.com/index.php is a new site that began in January this year and very recently, with the rummored dimize of Outbackers.com, it has become a haven for hundreds of users from that forum. It is also listed on Jimscampingforum.com http://jimscampingforums.com/forums/index.php?topic=3449.0 & Outbackers.com forum as well.
Please visit this link; http://www.dogandtrailer.com/index.php?topic=37.0 for infomation on the rally. If you decide to join us we have activities planned for the kids and a Pot luck Sat. night. Please post a note and or send me email or email to the other rally master; a link to email us is directly on the rally webpage.
We have ~ 80 sites held until April 20th 2011 at a discounted rate. Also includes 1/2 price water park and steam boat admission. About two thirds of the sites are still open! If you reserve a site there is a color coded map, on the website for the rally, that lists the sites by size. You can use this to determine if your rig will fit. Please mention that you are with the "Northeast Rally Group" to the reservation people to get the discounts.

Hope to see some of you there!!

Your post was very timely as we are looking at Raystown for an Eastern Regional Rally for 2012. We have a choice of 3 CGs with one being in NY, one at Harper's Ferry, and this one at Raystown. Did Raystown have any problem with giving out so many sites for June? This sounds like a perfect time to have a rally there....I looked at the dog and trailer site and it seems like there is so much to do there....Raystown is about 90 minutes from me here in Hershey....

Cheryl;
Lake Raystown is just awesome! The Managers name is Samantha, and the group coordinator is Michelle. The only thing that might be an issue for you is that they want a contract; I signed it, as it was sort of silly. The contract holds a certain number of sites for a period of time. It contains language that the reservation is in your name until the sites are individually re-assigned to the individuals making reservations for the sites. After the agreed upon time the sites are released to the general public. You can mention my name if you want. Please be aware of two things; there is no sewer, however, they have a honey wagon, and a 4 station dump. And they have lenght of stay restrictions for the "Premium and Supersites". If you want the premium sites you should book early as they sell out a year and a half in advance. We will probably have our rally there again next year. The place is very clean, and the staff is very friendly. They have pavillions and offered to include one to our group at no charge (except the one by the waterpark). Good luck and please keep me in the loop I would love to attend the H.O.C. rally there.

We love Raystown. My wife and I went to Raystown for our first camping trip together, Nearly 18 years ago, in a TENT. Less than a year later we had our first RV. We would love to go again.
