50A female to 30A male adapter?

I have the one Dave is showing, only my dealer gouged me about $50 more than Tweetys price. Then I use a 30 to 20 amp dogbone on the end of that. Now instead of worrying about my 50 amp cord getting stolen I can worry about somebody stealing my adapter...Don

If you never want to reduce to 30 amp that will work just fine.

The Amazon part listed will work great, as well as your $16 dollar adapter in your first post, just need another adapter to go down to 15 (or 20 ) amp at the house.

Or make your own

The part that Dave linked to is a good one for 50A to 30A. It is just a short adaptor then you will need to have a 30A extension.

If you don't have the 30A extension you might try this 50A female to the trailer and 30A Male but it is 25ft long. 50A to 30A

Actually, the adapter I first mentioned does not have the twistlock female end for connecting to the fifthwheel. I bought the one from Amazon, and now just use a heavy duty outdoor extension cord when parked next to the S&B. I just need to charge the batteries, and cool down the fridge prior to weekend trips, so this is perfect.

Thanks for the opinions - gotta love this forum!!

If theft is the concern, once you add up the cost of the lower amp cord and the adapters, you might as well let them steal the 50A cord.

50 12/3 extension cord <$50
50 amp female end <$17
30 amp female end <$15

20 minutes of labor $0

Ease of use for hooking up at the house priceless

And the extension cord can be found cheaper.

Only problem is that the 12/3 is a bit light for 30 amp. Use 10/3 for a 30 amp cord.

Peace
