weather and roads

Of course we are seeing reports of road flooding between SC and Mo. We have a trip starting a week from today and we are also seeing more rain predicted. Is there any good source to get very current road closings? I can see we will be in route and may have to detour due to flooding/bridge out?

Unless you have a broadband modem or some other means of Internet access (smartphone) while traveling, the only thing you can do is check with local authorities before you leave. I'm sure if roads are closed there sill be roadblocks and signs so having a good map or GPS for detours is a good plan as well.
