Black Table scratches

What is the best, least noticible way of filling in some small scratches on our black table top. They are just surface scratches that occured when our dog tried to jump up on the table to look out the window to see a another dog that was barking outside....

A. Take the extra leaf out and bring it to a good professional paint store. The kind of store real painters use. See what they can come up with to match it. There maybe a black tinted stain that will be real close.
B. Buy a good tablecloth and forget about it.
C.Take the table to a good cabinet shop and have them cover it in Formica
D. ...I was going to mention something about the dog but held back. We had a Cocker..once.... Lets just say it wasn't my favorite...
