View Full Version : No longer full-time, We got our house!

Well it has been almost 2.5 years since we hit the road in our Landmark, but that road trip is now over. Yesterday at 4:00pm we got the key to our house here in Laramie. We spent the last few hours of daylight moving a trailer load of stuff my parents brought up from Colorado and then hauled the Landmark out of the campground and parked it in front of the house. We unloaded the essentials last night, and spend the first night in the house.

This Morning we got up, finished unloaded the rest of everything out of the trailer. It looks so strange to see the Landmark so empty and and bare. Had to mow the yard today too.

The trailer will be headed to Colorado Springs soon after we get a refrigerator delivered, as it sets now we have about 75' of fifthwheels lined up on the street, since our neighbor has an SOB and the Landmark is backed up to within 18" of their front-cap.

The Corgis LOVE the new place and the yard is much better than any CG's dogwalk area. They have ran enough today to sleep for about 3 days straight.

We had a great time living in the Landmark and on the road, but it is definitely nice to have a house and a yard again. We will miss the Landmark when it is gone.

Congratulations on your new home. At least the wind will be more tolerable.

Congrats! Hope you continue to enjoy your new home. Thanks for your expertise on our questions about RVing. See you have the Landmark for sale. No more camping?

Good Luck, Alan, but don't be a stranger. You've got a lot of HL expertise to still share.

Good to hear you've started to move in. Hope you find time for all the projects that are probably going to pop up. You know, the "Honey Do List"?
Enjoy your new home and don't be a stranger.

Well, the trailer is now empty and is stored. It was very odd seeing it so empty and "plain" again. The view out the front window is a bit nicer with out the Landmark block the view.
