If your going to stay for only a few days I liked the Skidaway Island State Park . The WiFi is not good but if you get into the 50amp area behind the office you can walk over (through the trees) and sit on a picnic table out side the office and use the wifi.

It is a beautiful park and it is not expensive.

Last year, We stayed at "Red Gate Farm Campground" located 8 miles from downtown Savannah. It was a new campground all of the sites were located in a large field and at that time not all sites had full hookup but they were working on the sites to make them all full hookup. There was a little road noise in the evenings but it is so close to Savannah that we would go back there again.

We were very happy with our stay here in November 2010.

We stayed at Fort McAllister and really enjoyed it. Its a state park and is in Richmond Hill which is on the south side of Savannah. Very private sites, and great marsh views!!!!!
