Resurfacing my Hanex counter tops in the Landmark.Started with the island
and am not able to bring that high gloss back after removing the scratches.
Started with a scotch brite green ,then scotch brite brown(medium),then
scotch brite gray(fine) and then finally scotch brite white(super fine).
Has anyone had any experience with Hanex resurfacing and was anyone
able to bring back the factory high gloss?Wonder if the high gloss can only
be achived by mechanical means?

I recently had to repair some nasty scratches in my countertops. I used a piece of wet/dry sandpaper, starting with 180 grit and working successively up to 1000 grit. Followed that with some automotive polishing cream and finally an application of Mecguairs wax. Works. Takes some elbow grease and a little time, but it comes out almost better than new.

A tip posted by another member is to add a couple of drops of dish soap to the water and mix it to wet the work area. It seems to help. I did try a Scotchbrite pad, initially. It only scuffed the surface. Fortunately, the higher grit papers cleaned it up.
