We have sold the house and moving into a campground in Chattanooga until DW retires9/30. Then after the Tennessee Fall Samboree we will travel to Texas stopping along the way to visit relatives. We will arrive in South Texas around 11/1. Need advice on campgrounds around Rockport, Aransas Pass, and Port Aransas. Any and all advice will be appreciated.

I lived in Rockport for 12 years during my working days, much prefer Rockport to Aransas Pass or Port A. Rockport - Fulton area has much more to offer than the other two locations. Lots of good RV camp grounds in and around Rockport. Best to check Woodalls book and do some emailing for pricing and location. Now is a good time to start your search, the RV parks fill up rather quickly starting late September.

We stayed in Rockport at Rustic Cove. It is a small park but had good sites, and services. It did not have the big meeting halls and some of the other amenities.

Lee, Congrats on selling the house and going FT. The fun begins! Get busy on Google or your favorite mapping software looking for RV Parks. Check their websites for amenities and prices and use rvparkreviews.com for others opinions. Thatsite also has links to the Parks website and you can view a sat image of the park as well. Good Luck & Have fun. We spent 3 years in Corpus Christi at Colonia del Rey. Nice park but usually hard to get a site.

We stayed at The Drifters between Rockport and Aransas. The owners and staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help you and make your stay wonderful. You will park on concrete plus concrete patio. It is shaded with oaks. The people staying there come back each year and also make you feel welcome. Lots of activities and pool but reasonable price. We heard that the roads would be paved for this next season. We like the location as it is quick and easy to get to Aransas Pass shopping/ferry and to Rockport/Fulton. They do fill up for winter so best to call soon.

We stayed at Woody Acres in Fulton last winter and plan on returning this year. It's an older park but well maintained. Last year we paid 375 per month and 15 cents per KWH for electricity. They have a pool, two jacuzzis, exercise room, pool tables and numerous activities going on every week.
