I'm picking up a 2011 2900 MK w/ 30A service on the 8th at Holman RV. What type power cord should I buy to have if I stop on the way back to TN. Just a 30A or some exotic pigtail! thanks

Hi Phil and welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and the Heartland Family.
Your new Sundance should come equiped with a 30 amp shore cord.

Peace

On the 2900MK w/ 30amp service, the cord is tucked into a cubby hole with a round access panel rignt in the middle of the rear of your camper and just above the bumper.

Pestep - congratulations on your new Sundance and welcome to the forum. We started out in a Sundance before moving up to the Big Country. We are now on our second Big Country and loving every inch of it.

See that you are from the Tennessee. We would like to invite you to the Tennessee Rally for Heartland owners, being held in Townsend, Tn August 5-7. We are camping at Big Meadows Family Campgound at the edge of the Smoky Mountains National Park. Other Heartland owners from Virginia, North and South Carolinas, Florida, Wisconsin, Georgia as well as Tennessee are coming. It's a great way to meet other folks who enjoy their Heartland coaches. Information on registering can be found on the Portal page (first page of this website), look on the right side under events-chapter events and click on the Townsend link. Speaking for everyone - we enjoy meeting new owners and touring new coaches.

It looks like Heartland should require that before you become a dealer you must go through a seminar and training program on how to do a walk through. With a check list and evaluation grade that should go back to Heartland.

Pestep, As NABO said come to the Tennessee Rally and meet a good group of owners. We have had our Sundance since 2008 and love it. So come on over and meet us. It is an easy trip from the boro, 840 to 40 then 321 to Townsend. Good Food, Good fellowship. You can ask as many questions as you want to.

In the dealer's defense, since he hasn't picked up the rig yet, maybe they haven't done the walk thru yet . . . hopefully the dealer will brief him on the power cable along with the standard warnings about how to hook it up.
