we bought a new edge m17 this past sat and had it out camping that night. we notice that the roof ac leaks thru the vents into the unit. does anyone have any suggestions about how to prevent this. it seems to happen when ppl are moving about the rv. also we could hear the dvd being played but the tv screen is blank with the words "no signal" we tried changing out the cords on the back of the tv to av1, av2 and changed to the corresponding source on the tv. no luck. is there something as simple as a button we are not pushing or has anyone had problems with the cords not being attached correctly into the dvd player itself? it seems like a task to find how to view the back of the stereo/dvd player as it is mounted into the walls.

Hi dojo,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and to the family. We have a great bunch of people here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge if needed.

For the a/c you might remove the inside cover and make sure you don't have cold air leaking back into the return air. This will give you a chance to maybe see where the water is coming in and to snug up the 4 mounting bolts a little. They may be a little loose or the foam seal has settled and compressed. These bolts do not need to be super tight,,, just snug. If you don't find anything for sure, you could pull the outside cover off and make sure the drain does not have a little trash in in causing a backup of the water.

For the dvd player and tv,,, it probably is a button or setting not right... hopefully someone with the same unit will jump in and help out here.

Enjoy the forum and your new Edge.

thanks Jim,
we did some research and decided to remove the dvd player from the wall and it was hooked up wrong. the cables were in the input instead of the output. what a easy fix and the tv has a beautiful picture. as for the ac. we will investigate it as you suggested. thanks for the info.

On the A/C, it may just be condensation collecting on the cover or vents. Our friends new Sundance does this when it is first turned on after setting up. It collects on the main discharge when closed to make the air go through the duct work.

I agree with Jim, plus will add to make sure the trailer is level and stable. If it only happens when people move about then the trailer is moving more than it should. Tighten up the stabilizers pretty good after leveling.

We had this same problem with the DVD player on our 2011 Trailblazer..it wasn't hooked up correctly from the factory and my spouse took it out and found the problem. Heartland quality control needs to look at this problem as it happens more and more it seems. Glad you got yours repaired..hope you got the air conditioner problem corrected.
