Don't know what part of OK you are in, but we visit Natural Falls State park just west of Siloam Springs. Very nice park with lots of hiking trails, bicycle path, 80' water fall, small lake for fishing, and close to a casino. A patch of heaven in the middle of nowhere.

If you are in the Tulsa area, stay away from Mingo RV Park. Mostly permanent residence, very, very small sites.

Thanks for the recommendation. We are out of Oklahoma city but don't have a limit on distance to the campground if it is a good spot to visit.

I've only driven by it, but my family (from Shawnee) loved the Eufala Lake area. I've stayed at the Elk City RV (a quick overnight) and it has nothing to recommend it other than some really nice management folks and is pretty central to a few attractions.

I am planning to visit the Sulfur Ok area end of next week. Arbuckle Lake, an the Arbuckle Mountains.. I have heard also there are quite a few "healing springs" they are being called in the area.. from some of the pictures, it looks to be a pretty nice area. this is a short trip to test out the new RV and make sure no major malfunctions occur before we take our next trip up into Kentucky later in the year.

The Lake Eufala KOA right off of I-40 is great. Search around Checotah OK. It's about 20 miles from our house and we go there from time to time just to hide :p

There are several parks around Broken Bow Lakes that are nice as well.

Stay away from Route 66 RV Park in Tulsa/Supalpa OK area. Bad news there!

Try Cedar Oaks RV Resort at Grand Lake, which is northeast of Tulsa in Grove, Oklahoma. Here's the link to the resort: http://www.cedaroaksrv.com/ Our local Good Sam's chapter camped there back in June and had a wonderful time. It's right on the shore of Grand Lake.

There are several really good RV Parks all around Oklahoma..Canton Lake, north of Watonga, Lake Tenkiller has several as well as state parks, Lake Arcadia, Edmond, some sites on the water, not full hookups, sites further from water has full hoohup. Eufaula Lake has several too. As per JSMagill Cedar Oaks on Grand Lake rally nice. Almost all the casino's either have RV Parks on site or near by, some are near lakes... Hope you enjoy Oklahoma camping, It will get cooler soon, and we will get some much needed RAIN...

We just pulled into MarVal Family Campground at Gore OK. This is a nice place. It sits on the Illinois River (lower) lots of folks out fly fishing. They have lots of amenities and seem to take great care of the place. Good Sam Club park.
