Southco Key fob once again

I know this thread has been out there several times and for awhile. However I have an unanswered question. Since I am replaceing my key fob on my 2012BH for the third time how long should the battery last between changes. I am only getting 1-3 weeks per battery with regular weekend usage. Should it be longer or is that the life expectency of the battery. Love this feature but can't count on it to be reliable.

Do you have a key chain fob or a keypad on the wall by the door? I don't know how long it should last, but if it is a keypad by the door, mine has been in for nearly a year now.
Giving Southco a call would probably be your best bet.

Its a key pad by the door. Seems like water is getting inside from rain and shorting it out. New one on the way already. Just trying to get an average life span. Should be longer than 3 weeks rain or shine.
