Height 4x4 vs 4x2

New F-350 4x4 is 4" higher then 4x2. Anything special that needs to be done besides adjusting pin box and hitch to ensure the right amount of clearance and that the fiver remains level while towing? I've read that another manufacturers offers to "raise the axles" to accommodate the 4x4 height, but Heartland doesn't mention it. Thanks.

Hi Jeff1947,

I don't know if Heartland would change the axles mounting for you, but I would think the dealer could do it without much of a problem.

Enjoy the forum.

All we needed to do was lower the hitch one hole to level our Big Country with our 4x4 Silverado. Still had plenty of rail clearance too.
