Interior Wall Covering Loose

We apparently had some water leaking in around the rear window and now the wall covering (looks like thick wallpaper?) has come away from the wall in several spots. Fortunately it is in the corner behind the chair, but it still looks bad. Does anyone have an idea how to get it stuck back to the wall? We thought of somehow injecting some type of adhesive in and pressing it down, since we don't really want to cut slits in it. Any ideas? Thanks!

I used Liquid Nails to reattach my wall covering by the dining table, but it was at the edge, next to the fascia. The one formulated for MDF seems to work well. If it's in the corner, getting at it will be a problem without penetrating the wall board somehow. You might try borrowing or renting a narrow crown pneumatic stapler (woodworkers tool) to reattach it to the wood framing underneath along the corner edge.

An alternative would be to get some wood inside corner trim molding and finish nail it over the wallboard in the corner to secure it.
