We camped at Hillman Ferry Campground last September and it was very nice! Quiet, pretty and close to several different activities.

Piney Campground is near Paris Landing just about one mile east of bridge. Nice campground with lots of various sites. Worth a look.

We've camped there and loved it. There are several campgrounds there to choose from. Our favorite place to camp is a COE called Poole Knobs in LaVergne TN. You have to know the good sites though if you want to make reservations. Some are not suitable for large rigs. Seven Points just outside of Nashville is also one of our favs. Both are heavily forested CGs with plenty of shady spots, and quiet. We do not like CGs where the sites are out in open sunny fields like trailer parking lots. It's sometimes hard to tell looking at CG websites. They always picture their most attractive sites.

We're about 20 miles south east of Nashville, just outside of Smyrna TN. Have you heard of www.camptn.com? You can get together with other people from the state to camp out. We love it and make most of their campouts. :)
