Travel to Gillette Wy. from Southeast U.S.A.

Travel discussion for National Rally to Gillette Wy.

Perhaps we can all start by finding out what days everyone plans to leave and possible stop over places along the way that are good.

Later on, we may be able to put together a few caravans along the way.

I've been giving some thought to a Wyoming rally either just before or just after the rally for those that are coming early or staying afterwards. This looks like a good place to start and see if there is any interest. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

We will be traveling from Northeast Alabama June, 6th, 7th or 8th, 2012. Traveling 1539 miles to the 2012 Gillette Wy. National Rally.

If you are going thru some of the cities below perhaps you could join up with others who are using that route to the rally.

Our route will take us from Alabama.
Route and exact date will depend on several factors such as: accommodating others that wish to caravan with us and rallies along the way and is very preliminary.

Even if you can't go on the dates we will leave, perhaps we can get some conversations going to share information on good campgrounds along the way to stop over at. And to link up others on more convenient leaving dates.

Dave & Amy,
Be sure to post back and let us know where and when you plan the rally. Many people go more than a week or so early.
Perhaps you could share some good campgrounds in the area, in case we are not allowed to camp in our rally sites earlier in the week.
Thanks and good luck with your rally. I really wish we could come to the area a few weeks early and see some of the beautiful sites.

We are kicking around going to the rally, but haven't made any decisions yet. Got several options to think about. But if we go, and you come through KC, MO, we might hook up with your group. We'll have to get our brains to turning quick, only 3 more months til we have to make a decision!!!
