AC Compressor runnung

I have a 08 3055, went out tonight to load it for a trip this weekend and when we were in it the compressor for the ac came on, no fan. T-stat is in off position. Fan comes on when I set t-stat to the cool position. Is this right? cannot find any info in material that came with rig.

Do you have a heat pump?

I do not have one but that would possibly sound like that. Other members have pumps and will know better than me.

I think the remote idea was scrapped because they didnt work to good.
