We bought our very first RV four years ago- BH 3055. It was quite an adventure but today I was thinking about how helpful this list has been. Honestly, this forum saved us a lot of grief (and probably our marriage)!
Just wanted to list some of the tips I received personally and if anyone would like to add theirs, please do.
1) don't dump black tank until it "burps". Scary, but works
2) get a clear 45 hose adapter for sewer hose. Scarier, but necessary
3) silver reflective window covers to keep heat and sun out
4) Happy Camper's Organic odor free holding tank treatment. (absolutely no smell in Texas summer heat)
5) Pex pipe with garden hose fittings- the best for long distance
6) All of the personal advice for small repairs. You have to realize, DH does not work on Rv- that's my job.
