hydraulic slides

We have a Bighorn 3410 with 3 slides - they move out as we travel down the road - move in when they should be out at our campsite (only about 2-3"). Any one else with slide problems? What has been done?

John and Cheryl,

Your hydraulic system is not holding pressure. Likely a loose/bad hose fitting or even a seal or ram failure. If you are up for it, check the hydraulic rams on all slides and landing gear. Same inside the hydraulic motor/pump compartment. If you cannot find a significant amount of fluid leaking outside the system, my guess is that it's a seal issue.

Consider contacting Lippert to see if they can walk you through a series of checks. Their number appears on the Portal page on the left.

Others here will certainly weigh in with more ideas.

I just went through this. Kinda. My slides would open while traveling.
I had a hydraulic cylinder that was leaking internally. Had the cylinder replaced. I had no fluid leaking. But check your fluid level.
I used a ratchet strap on each slide to hold them in place as I traveled as a temporary fix.

Peace
Dave
