Additional Info:
------------------------------
Original sites are located close together in the SuperSite area. These are large, concrete, level, beautifully landscapped sites. We originally only had 25 of these. They are all taken, but other sites may be available in other nearby parts of the park (this is a very large RV park), but will not be paved and will require driving or walking a short distance to the group area. Sites 4 through 30 and 65-129 are full hookup sites (minus Cable TV, but many channels available on a regular antenna) near the Supersite area. Also, ask if any other SuperSites are available. A cancellation can pop up at any time.

Since Armed Forced Day is during the event, we will use that as our theme, so be prepared to "dress up" your site appropriately. The pot luck will be in the pavilion on Saturday night. Other group events will be planned, such as a early arrivers Friday breakfast, possibly a wine and cheese tasting, Virginia Beach outings, etc. The agenda will be firmed up as we get closer to event time.

Sightseeing/Things To Do:
------------------------------
In the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area:
http://www.campingvb.com/gallery/Historical/Historical.aspx

and The Beach and The Boardwalk (It's actually concrete! The boardwalk, not the beach)

Volunteer Opportunities:

Coordinate Charity Activity. - Judi and Jack Barnett - Thanks! (Also Pam Tims, we are going to do two charities)

Help with setup and cleanup for a Friday morning early birds continental breakfast at The Landmark Diner (our trailer). Also a few folks who can bring pastries or drinks or tables. - John and Nancy Latham (pastries), Jon and Patti Holbert (juice), John and Deb Bylinski (juice)
Help with a couple of games/contests for the Sat night pot luck. Come up with suggestions for games good for 80+ people.

Help with setup/ cleanup for the pot luck dinner. John and Nancy Latham, Ken and Marj Gallimore

Help with grills and cooking for a Friday night burger and dogs dinner. Also side dish donations. Keith Lindgren, Mike Walker, Jim/Harriett Dahlgren, Eric Von Opstal

Help with a possible scavenger hunt on Saturday. Jim and Harriett Dahlgren

Chesapeake RV Solutions Coordination (contact me first if interested) - Keith and Carol Lindgren - Thanks!

ADDED:
Almost Forgot!
Need a couple of folks who are not planning on decorating their site, or are but don't need to be judged to volunteer as judges for "Best Decorated Site". Don't forget - our theme is patriotic. There will be a prize awarded at the pot-luck dinner. - Mike and Ann Walker, Colleen Marigliano (Got enough!) Thanks!

Be sure to make a post here with your site number when you make a reservation. I'll be putting a running attendee list up very soon also.

Only 12 sites remaining! WOW - and I just posted this thread one day ago! Great response - wish I could get more sites, but they just aren't available in the SuperSite section of the park. There are close-by sites with full hooks ups just outside the Supersite area (check out the campground's website for a map of the campground), so hopefully if you procrastinate too long, you can still come to the rally by taking advantage of those sites.
