Doran, is what I have used for several years. Also known as Pressure Pro

iefpro1,

Pressure Pro seems to be the monitor of choice. They screw onto the valve stem and constantly monitor tire pressure. Other monitors require the sensor to be mounted inside the tire. Some display temperature, but most information that I have received said that temperature is not as important as pressure.

Just remember, as in my case with a major "tire separation", none of the monitors will react quick enough for advanced warning before the explosion. All the monitors should provide enough warning for slow air loss.

Good tires, proper inflation, tire care, and a little luck is the best.

I have the Pressure Pro also. As stated, no help in a blow-out situation as my monitor was reading just about the same pressure on all fours when it happened. However, after putting on new Goodyears, I found upon leaving the tire store that as 3 tires were building pressure, one was loosing pressure slowly. A return to the shop showed the new valve stem was not screwed in tightly and air was seeping from the edges. That one experience alone saved the cost of the TPMS system.
