Winterizing

Have try ed this process for the last few years and thanks to the hot water heater by pass it is made easier. First I turn compressor pressure down too about 40lb., then drain water out of air compressor tank and if you have a oiling system in line by pass it. Next take out water heater anode and by pass it, blow the camper system out (one outlet at a time) then empty out holding tanks. Now have 2 gal. of antifreeze on hand. Put the hose from winterizing hose into one of bottles shut off all spigots turn on pump until it turns off. Take the hose out of that bottle and put in the full bottle this will save you from running out in the middle of process. Open one spigot at a time until pink appears no use in letting it run long because you have removed water from the water lines. I usually turn the bypass valve back to normal and run just a small amount in tank ( put the anode back in put leave it lose so when you remove antifreeze you flush the tank out). Just make sure you remove water in every thing that uses water and put in antifreeze. Turn off pump and open a spigot to relive pressure. Put about 4oz in all drains. This process usually takes about 1-3/4 gal. Then re drain the holding tank put some lube on the valve stems and shut them while you have the can of lube in hand spray some on all moveing parts (like srews on jacks door hings etc). Remove hose from bottle pour what is left in other bottle if any left. This usually takes about 1@3/4 gal.. Might take a little longer but you can sleep knowing that it is protected. PS air up tires too max and make sure they are not sitting on dirt but on someting that will not hold mosture and up out of water and cover them.
