We just ordered a 50amp automatic cord reel. I assumed that we would mount it in the front storage area but DH had the idea to mount it on the back bumper so as to be right by the plug in site. He will construct a metal box to house it and run a wire up to the front batteries in order to power it. A definate advantage to not have to drag it out around to the back, and then back to the front to roll it up. Just curious if anyone has done anything similar or if there are any possible drawbacks to his idea?
