Hard to control temp in 4-door Dometic

We have the fan fix and monitor the ability to have good air flow in our fridge, but found the temp was erratic, especially on warm days in the Valley. Hubby found the left door (with the flap) had loosened and was dragging on the lower plastic hinge, and it wasn't closing tight. It looked and sounded like it was closing, but it wasn't. By getting down on the floor and adjusting the lower hinge on the flap, the door now closes tight consistently. Temp staying right where it should. Prooving once again: if something seems like it is wrong, it probably is.

We love the lifestyle, and our Heartland, but how do people do this if they are not at all handy or intuitive about such things? Oh, I guess that's where the mobile rv service guy gets his business.

A friend just went through the same thing on his new Landmark. The dealer told him they couldn't find any malfunction, but when camping temps would climb into the high 40s with outside temp in the low 80s. Other clues: the freezer was keeping ice cream rock hard. The fins inside the refrigerator had ice on them. From those clues we deduced that the cooling system was working but the cold air must be leaking out of the refrigerator compartment. He checked the flap operation and found the problem.
