Heater Switch

Even though we have had our 2010 3670 Big Horn for over two years, still have questions.. What is the heater switch on the inside panel next to the pump switch? I have always thought it was for underbelly heat and have put it on when we are in cold temps but have been told by some that it is not.. Can someone clarify please?

If you're referring to the small HEATER switch on the monitor panel, that's to run the water heater on propane. You should also have a red lighted switch in the compartment that runs the water heater on electric. Obviously you know to be sure the tank is full of water before turning on the electric for it. You can run it on both at the same time if you want faster recovery, but it's not necessary. If you have shore power available, then leave the propane off. Out in the boonies, then you'll need to run it on propane.

Heat for the underbelly is provided by the furnace via a small diameter flex duct that is directed back under the basement floor.

That switch is for using LP to heat your water. You can use the red wall type switch, the LP heater switch or a combination of both for faster recovery.

If you're talking about the status panel that shows tank levels and battery charge, with 3 rocker switches along the bottom, in our Landmark, one switch displays the status lights, another turns on the water pump and the third turns on the gas burner for the water heater.

We generally use the electric element in the water heater, which is activated with a larger light switch. If you purchased the tank heating pad option, there's another light switch to turn them on.

Underbelly heat comes from the furnace via a 2" duct that's routed into the underbelly. If the furnace is running, the underbelly should be getting heat.
