The shaft on my tv antenna seems to be short, If you put the crank on like it should be you can not pull down the rotate big ring, if you fix it so the ring will come down then the crank falls off. Just seems like the shaft is to short.
Anyone have any ideas??? Tks Jim

Jim,

Are you speaking of the crank on the satellite antenna or the over-the-air antenna?

I recall that when I installed my crank up satellite antenna, that I had to use a hack saw to cut the shaft to the proper length.

My satellite antenna is Winegard. Same as the over-the-air antennas. My guess is that the installation is similar. The shaft is likely available from Winegard as a replacement part. If your unit is under warranty, I'd ask your dealer to take care of it.

I am talking about the over the air antenna. Mine is not a Wingard (too bad) it is Antenna Tek.
I am going to give it to the dealer, was just trying to fix before I went back.

I see. I didn't know that Heartland used another brand in some models.

For any who need it, here's a link to Antenna Tek.

I had the same problem with a previous trailer, and I believe Camping World sells an extension for the crank up.
