Water Tank Question

I have a 2008 3670RL I have not tried out the fresh water tank as of yet but I am supose to do some dry camping soon and was wondering if there was anything to look for. I heard that if the tank is full while driving you will loose 1/3 of the water during the trip. I would check the problem out myself but my camper is at the dealer having the carpet replaced because a friend spilled rasberry margaretta mix everywhere. Not so much fun but no warrantee problems yet thanks
