Curious regarding the couch/seating change that appears to have happened on the 300c. Why the change to the expandable seat in front of the sliding garage door? We have just placed an order for the 300c HD with the new blue graphics in onyx .... like to know exactly what I'm getting as we have been researching for the last year. Now looking online at the newer models have noticed the change. Thxs

By looking at pictures online from various RV dealers, the newer model appears to have eliminated the seat that you can extend out in front of the garage door. In the new models it has just a small L corner now with a rounded pillow. The internet certainly is a great way to view different interiors. You can tell the new 2012 by the one large window with two smaller ones along the seating area. I will call HL and ask.
Thanks.

You are correct in that the new models have the large window in the center of the slideout, with two narrower windows on each side. Mine is a new model that came with the long, L-shaped couch that extends out. I believe this has always been the case, and is nothing new. Maybe AJ can chime in here. There is a more expensive option that replaces this couch with a smaller sofa-bed couch and dinette.

The new models also increased the TV to 40" and added a second awning over the garage side entrance.

We have gone away from the couch with the pull out extension. We had a lot of complaints of people not wanting to store the section of couch, and also that it was a pain to set up. The new couch has the L-shape with the rounded corner (which is all storage underneath). The really nice feature for the all new couch is that it has 3 built in recliners built directly into the couch that lay completely flat. So it not only gives you a huge couch that most people prefer, it also comes with two pedestal tables, and three built recliners all into one combination that does not require any external pieces to be added to it.

The changes sound quite nice for the 2012 models. 3 recliners would have been great along with the 2nd awning. The couch addition wasnt a bad idea and if some complained so be it as there were plenty of ways to store the piece. If the timing was right waiting another year would have been prudent.

Thanks AJ for clarifying .... we actually saw the seating change in the Road Warrior at our recent RV show, but we are going with the Cyclone. The recliner seats are great with that big TV over the door. We really like the huge seating area with the 2 tables. Our trailer is always the hub of socializing when camping with friends so the dinette booth and separate couch was a definite no for us. Can't wait to get it. It was a pleasure to meet John, hope he enjoyed his stay in Edmonton.
