I notice that system does not have a 'drop hook' feature to tell it you have unhooked your trailer. I would hate driving around with the warnings.

I have similar system and if away from the sensor it does nothing and if you sellect the tire it shows no signals. It only worns on tires it receives the signal. So its good to cycle through the tires before leaving. The problem for me has bee batteries going dead. Also when rotating tires just switch units leaving it at the same location.
I have hawkshead units and tire menders sensors, the are compatible though tire mender represetative told me they were not. These units are all made the same manufacturer and packaged differently. My spare tire menders were on sale at CW at a great price so I should have bought more to do the truck.
