Back from Lake Raystown

For anyone considering a trip to PA, book a site at Lake Raystown Resort & Marina, in Entriken PA. Lake Raystown was man-made (Army Corps of Engineers) about 25 - 30 yrs ago. It's over 30 miles long , with 118 miles of shoreline. This particular campground is really the only one for tents up to big rigs on the lake. They have lots of waterfront sites and wooded sites off the lake. No sewer but daily honey wagon available. 30 amp and water at all sites. It's beautiful....I used to boat there many moons ago, but now we're visiting in our RV.

The Landmark got lots of "oohs and aahs" from campground neighbors and the Honey Wagon guy !! He loved the UDC and water manifolds - he said "Man, this is the nicest rig I've seen here"....and we were surrounded by some really good looking Class A coaches, so we appreciated his compliment!

A new-found friend took us out on his wave-runner ; we got accidently dumped when he stopped, but it was so hot and the water is so clear and refreshing this time of year, it felt great !! It's a wonderful place to boat and fish, too, guys !!

Highlight - sitting on our outdoor chairs, with new friends, looking at a magnificent bald eagle across the water, sitting up in a dead tree, amidst the wooded mountain top - he was fishing for his dinner. It was awesome to see (we kept Butch and Skippy away from him;) ).

Check it out on a future trip to PA - you won't be disappointed.
