We highly recommend Yellowstones' Edge RV Park www.mtrv.com on Highway 89 South, south of Livingston MT and north of Gardiner MT which is at the North Entrance to Yellowstone. For those wishing to visit Yellowstone Park, the campground is only about 30 miles north of there, and right on the edge of the Yellowstone River in a nice large scenic valley with mountains all around. They have a beautiful Gameroom-Laundry-Bath House building and the washers and dryers look new. All the parks facilities appear to be kept neat and very clean, and the people managing/working it are great.
The location worked out great for our visits to the park. We toured the north "Grand Loop" with many scenic stops with a few hikes and spotting wildlife along the way. It took us less than one day for this route. The next day we toured the south "Grand Loop" doing the same and even had time to catch Old Faithful erupting. We again got back to the RV Park about 6 PM.
Leaving Yellowstone tomorrow morning and headed for Custer Battlefield Memorial, then on to the Mt. Rushmore area.
