Hobo Stew

Here is a great dish, takes some time but well worth waiting for.....Enjoy

[h=2]Ingredients[/h]
  • 1-1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cans (10-3/4 ounces each) condensed minestrone soup, undiluted
  • 2 cans (15 ounces each) Ranch Style beans (pinto beans in seasoned tomato sauce)
  • 1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained

  • In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink; drain. Transfer to a 3-qt. slow cooker. Add the remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or until heated through. Yield: 8 servings.

Not what I call HOBO stew, HOBO stew is when you have a group of people and everyone brings something to put it the pot. You then take it all put it in a big pot and cook it. Just like the HOBO's did back in the 20's and 30's.

Never the same twice. Can get interesting.
