We pulled in about lunch time on Monday and moved into our new Mt Rushmore. After our PDI and several minor repairs, we finally got the papers signed about lunch time today. Tomorrow AM we'll leave RV's For Less, stop to get our new Goodyear tires mounted, then head on to Pigeon Forge for three nights and then take this new baby home.

We're finally Happy Campers! Well, we will be when the crack in our granite is repaired (at home) and they ship our new ice maker (ours isn't making ice).

Hi Don and Sheri,

Congrats on moving into the new unit. Sorry to hear about your granite crack. I know nothing about repairing them but sounds like you're up to speed in it.

Travel safe.

Jim, the crack is barely visible at the sink front, but can be repaired with granite glue. Heartland will pay for a granite specialist to do the work once we get home.

Thanks to all for your good wishes.

Evans & Lana, this is the whole ball of wax for us. We put our toyhauler on the market in February and emptied it out, so this is our first camping trip this year, as well as being in our new MR.

Bob & Christina, we would love to meet everyone in Branson, but we hope to be in our first workamping position by then. So, unfortunately, we probably won't make it.

Dan & Simonne, we'll probably skip Cades Cove because of the slow traffic, but during our motorcycling years we rode many beautiful roads up here every fall. We did eat at Huck Finn's tonight, our favorite restaurant up here, and we have reservations for the Dixie Stampede tomorrow night. We haven't been there since our honeymoon.

As for the fun camping, well it seems that Butch told the folks at Creekside the wrong length for our coach, they're almost full and had no spaces long enough for us by the time we got here, so we're in the overflow area. You know, with the storage units, the dumpster and all the other misc junk. Hey, it's very peacful and quiet, we still have 50 amp full hookups and the wifi reaches us. Two units over there is a stored GC (#4333 if I remember correctly).

Seems like this whole trip has meant making the best of a bad situation, but we're still :D !
