Is Door Suppose to Have a Latch to Hold it Open?

We just purchased a 3712CK and the front door does not have any latch to keep it open. Our previous RV did have a device on the outside that allowed us to latch the door so that it remained open.

Hmm, I always thought that a latch came with all campers.
Maybe it was over looked at the factory.
Talk to your dealer or call Heartland Customer Service for verification.

I have yet to see an RV without a latch. Some of the 'back doors' have gas struts that keep them open at 90 degrees.

I have never seen one without a latch, but I'm sure your dealer will add one for you.

Both of our doors had gas struts - no latches. I removed the gas strut from the front door and added a latch from Camping World (~$7).
