Hi Lou and Bette. Thanks for telling Moe from CO about the club. He called me and joined today!

Give us more to go on in MN, WI and MI. Where about, for how long and what camping style?

SE MN in the Lanesboro, area is very nice. Scenic with lots of rolling hills, a 54 mile, mostly paved bike trail and tubing along the river. We just returned from Eagle Cliff Campground outside of Lanesboro. Huge grassy sites, many are shaded, full hook-ups available. More like a campground that an an RV park. In Northern WI. try the City campground in Ashland, WI. On the shores of Lake Superior. Very well run, clean and scenic. Water and 50 amp with a dump station. First come first served. Not that busy during the week. Quaint little town with HUGE murals done by a local artist on numerous downtown buildings, a must see! MI try the City park in Muinising, MI. in the UP. A very large campground run by the City. It's every busy so I would call first. Again, on the shores of Lake Superior and close to the Painted Rocks National Lakeshore. Several scenic boat trips and tours in the area. Even though you're near water it can be mighty hot and humid around here during this time of the year...Don

SW Wisconsin has some great riding roads of all types. Twisties, gentle curves, hills and bluffs. Plenty of great places to eat. County Park in the area is Goose Island just south of LaCrosse, WI. Back off the main road which is Hwy 35 along the Mississippi. Parks is along the river.
A place with full hookups would be Neshonoc Lake in West Salem, WI. There is also a full hook up park on an Island in the Mississippi. It's right off the Interstate 90 as you cross from MN to WI.

Hi Jim, we are not for sure what there is to do in these states. we need to be in St. Louis area right after labor day. we are in Deadwood till Aug 1st. we thought if we were in one of these states for about a month we could just head south.

Lou and Bette,

When we're in the MSP area, we're visiting our kids in the western burbs, so we stay at Dakotah Meadows in Prior Lake, MN. It's next to Mystic Lake Casino. We really like this campground as it's ideally located to voyage out to the kids places or have them come into see us. If you plan to stay there for more than a couple of days, I'd try to reserve a back-in site. All of the non-back-in sites, while pull-throughs, are double (side-by-side) concrete sites. The back-ins on the lower section are around the perimeter. Not my favorite as there's more casino traffic in that area - but not too bad. There's a center section that's half way up the hill. No back-ins there that I know of. What I really like is the upper section. The back-in's on the last row at the top are great. For your ramp door, you'd want B19 through B23 or so (link to site map - then click map to enlarge).

The Sunday brunch at the casino was great! They also have shows there - though I've never been to any. Their show list is listed on their website.

Things to do in the area:
- Mystic Lake Casino if you game, like to go to shows or like to eat
- Mall of America if you like to show in one of the biggest in the world
- MN Zoo
- Canterbury Downs if its been a while since you've been to the horse races
- Downtown Minneapolis and Downtown St. Paul

After leaving the Cody rally I went to Omaha NE to visit my son. Stopped one night in Sydney at Cabellas on the way to Omaha and then stayed at Two Rivers State Park outside of Omaha. They had a 50 amp hookup at the campsite right up next to the lake but had to go down the driveway for water on the way in and sewer dump on the way out but it was not a problem. Then went to visit my daughter in Sheboygen, WI halfway between Milwalkie and Green Bay. Stayed at Plymouth Rock RV park. I DO NOT reccommend this place. Had many problems. Try to get into Kolher State Park in Kolher. I haven't stayed there but my daughter says it is great. Call me for more info and I can get you in touch with my daughter who lives there.

I think that the rally group is on the inner circle - mostly anyway. We're on site 1 and I think that Jim B may be in 7...seems like he mentioned that in the past...can't remember for sure.
