State hwy 441 is ok til you get to Gatlinburg, TN. From Gatlinburg, I would NOT take 441 over the mountains to Cherokee/Sylva. It's a narrow, single land road with a bunch of switchbacks that with a camper could be dangerous. Instead I would run back thru Sevierville to I-40 east to the Waynesville, NC exit (hwy 74). That's a 4 lane road all the way back to Sylva. (FYI - do not take hwy 19 thru Maggie Valley - it's also a narrow, single lane road with lots of switchbacks).

Sorry but we have not pulled a camper that way so I'm couldn't advise you one way or another. I did pull the Good Sam's RV Atlas out and it shows 441 as a primary road but not a state trucking route. The truck route picks up at Tallulah falls in GA to Gainesville. Maybe someone in GA will chime in with advance.
