I too am looking at the same problem, I found this http://www.hydralift-usa.com/ on the Escapees Forum, don't know if the Big Horn will support the additional weight on the axels but if it will looks like it might be a good solution.

Maybe some one from the factory could answer this question???

Using a trailer (triple) of any type may create problems for you, license wise, that is , especially on the East coast.

You won't be able to get the factory to post any further about adding a hitch to your coach. This does not imply that a good shop cannot engineer, fabricate and install a great hitch for a variety of uses. It only means that the factory is not going to advise you ton the matter.

Find a great hitch fabrication show, show them what you have frame-wise on the coach and tell them what you want to do, with specs (overall weight, tongue weight, width/length etc.). Let them tell you if they can do it. If they can and if they warrant their work and guarantee their design rating, may be worth doing. In the end, the risk is yours.

If you are considering the lift for a MC on the rear of the 5er, be very careful and do your home work. The added weight could have an adverse effect on the weight and balance of the rig, overload the tires, frame and suspension. Especially H Smith with the 3670, that rig is already maxed out as far as weight and another 800 lbs could become very dangerous. You would be pushing a 1 ton dually to its max.

I too am looking to transport my bike.

There are pros & cons on every system. My descision was sealed when I had my mechanic look under the BH to install a 2" receiver for bikes. After removing the bottom covering he advised me not to install a system that would put a lot of weight on the frame.

As a matter of fact the company that I am buying the swivelwheel system from, kinda steers people away from their lift system to the platform system for a fifth wheel. Read their fitament on a coach section:

I have also been told that a platform system is considered a third tow , which is illegal in most states:

I am going to chance that since I have read in many forums how people have been using these for a while and never been ticketed. Whoa, living on the edge.

I pull two ATV's with our 3055 and it does great. But I sure wouldnt want a fiver any longer than ours. I see lots of doubles going down our highways and I think ours is the longest so far. A real attention getter.

Well I guess I'll tell you we're 70ft long with a 10ft cargo trailer behind our 3670RL, we borrowed the cargo trailer to try it and I'm not conviced that's what I want to do when we go fulltime, however the pulling is not a problem.

Last week I actually saw a Goldwing on a ramp located on the roof of a dually pulling a 5ver. Don't ask me how he got it up there. Looked strange going down the interstate.

I sure would like to see that set-up, a ramp up the back over the bed and onto the roof, hope he has some handrails just in cause he bobbles, 800 lbs of bike could get ugly.
 
That's is one of those times you wished you had a camera handy. I'm still trying to picture in my head how that would be done. Could you tell what kind of support structure was in place?

Nope, If he was doing 65-70, and I was doing the same going the opposite direction. I was lucky to have seen it as long as I did. I was just thinking when I saw it, what for balls it took to get it up there. :eek:)
