We spent two days in Hurricane last Feb. house hunting. St George was a little busy for us and we liked the Hurricane, LaVerkin and Toquerville area the best. Dont remember any RV parks we passed but it is on the way to Zion so I bet there are lots of them. Pretty cool in the mornings. Great people. Our dream is to find a home in the area when finances look more favorable.

Herbiesrig,

These are two good parks are in the St George area.

Willowind in Hurricane is a good long term park. http://www.willowindrvpark.net/

Zion River Resort in Virgin is nice, maybe a little pricey. http://www.zionriverresort.com/

I agree with Chopper, we have never found a park we really like right in St George. Although St George itself is a great city.

The RV park snow birds flock to, right in SG is right off I-15. I forget the name. Too noisy for me.

You can also check out Temple View RV Park. I didn't really care for it. Most spots are very small.

Hope this link works. It's for year round St George climate data. http://www.wrcc.dri.edu/cgi-bin/cliMAIN.pl?ut7516

Southern Utah has very mild winters by Michigan standards. Trace

We just relocated to St. George and it definitely IS a very hot place this time of year. It was 114 today. While on an excursion up to Pine Valley, which is about 35 mile north of St.George, we noticed the campground host at the state park is in a Heartland Landmark. The temps are 30 degrees cooler up there but the stays are limited to 14 days. Absolutely beautiful place!
