We own a 2011 Elkridge, model 27RLSS fifth wheel. We were camping this past week with friends in a campground in Bar Harbor Maine. We did not receive a power surge that we were aware of (could have happened when we were not in the unit), but we lost our entire electrical functions in our unit. We called our dealer, and he had us check many things (actually he stayed on the phone with us for 2 hours) but alfter checking the converter, and not getting it to work at all, we decided to cut our vacation short and return to our dealer. We had to have the converted, microwave, TV, and coffee pot replaced as they were all destroyed. OK so now my question is has anyone had issues with the converter causing this kind of major damage. How can we insure this doesn't happen again? The park insists they checked the power connection in the campground and it was fine. Friends we were camping with did not have any problems, just us. So if the converted was defective, even a power surge cable would not help, as it wasn't a surge to our knowledge. Help.. not feeling like I can trust our unit anymore. We travel to two furry friends and I would hate to have this happen when we were going and have the a/c go out on a very hot day. Any ideas?????
Thanks.
Thanks.
