Something like this is quite secure and if you look around your rig, you may find an out of sight, yet easily accessed, section of metal framing to secure the cable to. I have one and you will need some serious tools to get it out. It's also handy in the truck or car since you can run the cable around or through the seat mounting frame.

starting in September 2012- a programable safe will be optional in front wardrobe.

I'm more concerned about fire damage over theft. I have a firesafe that I installed under the bed. I only carry important documents (passports, wills, titles, etc.), so I actually leave the key in the safe. Hopefully, the would-be thief would look inside the safe...and see that there is nothing of value.
