Europe Tour by Motorhome

We're planning to tour some of Europe next spring by renting a motorhome. If anyone else has done this recently, I'd be interested to hear about their experiences on the touring/sightseeing, and on the camping aspects. Thanks.

It wasn't recent, but long ago, my family (2 adults+2 kids under 12) rented a VW Vanagon/Camper edition (pop-top) and had a great time all over Germany, France and Italy. The Vanagon was easy to maneuver in the small streets through towns. I'm not sure I'd want to drive anything much larger through Europe.
