Dicor or Etenabond tape

Was up on the Cyclone last week and noticed the silicone or whatever they used to make a very small bead between the front and read caps and the roof isn't stuck anymore. So it's time to reseal that joint. What I've typically done to past trailers is lay down a small bead of Dicor, and it lasts for years, but recently read somewhere to roll down a line of Eternabond tape instead. Any thoughts?

My choice is Eternabond..Once and done, great stuff. You want to make sure you clean the surface and apply. There are plenty of post on Eternabond on our site..just do a search. Also, Eternabond has a tutorial on their site that is good..

You put the tape over a fresh bead of caulk?

I think I might have let it set for a bit before putting the tape on but the caulk was not yet hard. I think I did this 5 or 6 months ago. Probably have 5-6000 miles since then - tape seems to be secure and I'm not aware of any issues.
