Lug Nut Covers

Hi!My Edge M13 has 'chrome-looking' lug nut covers that look great, but get in the way when I test the torque on the lug nuts with a tire iron. Do most people remove these things to confirm the nuts are not loose then replace them? If so, does anybody have advice on how to get them off and on again easily and without damage? Thanks so much (as always)Stan

I junk them. If you really need shiney lugnuts buy some chromed ones.

2nd on the junk them. I haven't had a chance to do it on the new coach, but, I will be upgrading soon to American made bearings/races and solid lugs at that time.

I upgraded my lugs because of the caps. They will crush and start to spin so you will hav to cut the lug off.

Remove them and replace with solid lug nuts. I got the ones that are longer than the original. Easier to get the socket on.

Can anybody tell me what the thread size in on the lugs? I have 8 lug wheels if that helps. I figured I would asked before I took one off to find out.
