Question about washing my fifth wheel.

May seem like a silly question, but I was wondering if you should pull in the slide outs or leave them out when washing the fifth wheel?

Hi ash,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and family. We have a great bunch of people here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge when needed.

You can wash it either way, but with the slides out, I would not use high pressure on the seal area around the slide. I do mine both ways... when it gets done.

Enjoy the forum and your Sundance.

I do mine both ways. It our rig was somewhere where it got really dirty then I make sure I open them and clean them off too.

I start out with my slide outs in. That way I can easily reach the area above them. Then I move them out so I can wash all the slides...Don

Since I wash mine while it's on our seasonal site (just did it yesterday), I do it with the slides out. To rinse, I set the nozzle on a flat spray and don't force any water past the seals.
