Hi Everyone,
Two years ago the factory recaulked my plastic frontcap to the fiberglass sides and now the caulk is giving up the ghost. I have several feet to recaulk. What would be wrong with using the best GE caulk with silicone?
Thanks,
Dave
Personally, I would avoid using any silicone product opting for a polyurethane based sealant. There are many good polyurethanes available. Heartland uses Sikaflex 505UV. I use products called Trempro available at Fastenal stores. Trempro 626 and Trempro 635 are my favorites. Both are approved for applications which require continuous immersion in water...a plus for us in the Northwest.
