The wife and I went there in 2009 and at the time they were giving active duty/retired military passes to all four parks for free. Just had to show my military ID, and the pass was good for a year. I think the wife's ticket cost like $150.

Day late and many dollars short. We're going down there the end of the month, after Myrtle Beach, and I bought our tickets online. Oh well, once again we're helping the economy recover, one vendor at a time. I gotta remember that little blue ID card I carry is good for more than just discounts at Home Depot and Lowe's.

John maybe you could get a refund, or talk to them about the military discount, that you did not know about. Its worth a try.
